Iconic installations that redefine public space through light and reflection.

Featuring select public and site-specific works, this viewing room highlights James’s ability to transform environments—from cultural institutions to outdoor settings—into dynamic, perceptual experiences.

The presentation of Anthony James at the InterContinental Presidente in Mexico City highlights the artist’s signature exploration of light, reflection, and infinite space. Through precisely engineered, mirrored sculptures, James creates immersive works that challenge perception and draw viewers into a seemingly boundless visual experience.

Set within a refined architectural setting, the exhibition underscores the dialogue between contemporary art and environment—where scale, luminosity, and design converge. The result is both striking and contemplative, offering a powerful glimpse into James’ ability to transform space through illusion and light.

The unveiling of Constellations by Anthony James at 425 Park Avenue in New York introduces a striking fusion of contemporary sculpture and architectural space in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

Installed within a 5,000-square-foot glass-enclosed space at the base of the building, the exhibition places James’ work directly into the urban landscape—visible from the street and seamlessly integrated into one of New York’s most refined commercial corridors.

With its luminous presence and contemplative depth, Constellations transforms a commercial space into an experiential destination—demonstrating Anthony James’ ability to create work that is both visually commanding and conceptually expansive.

Featured in Crystals in Art: Ancient to Today at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Anthony James contributes to a sweeping exploration of crystal as both material and concept across cultures and time.

Known for his illuminated, mirror-lined sculptures, James draws directly on the inherent qualities of crystal—light, reflection, and geometric precision—to create works that feel both elemental and infinite. Within the context of the exhibition, his practice bridges the historical and the contemporary, translating the enduring fascination with crystalline form into a distinctly modern, experiential language.

At The Surf Lodge, Montauk, New York,  Anthony James’ luminous sculptures transform a quintessential coastal setting into an immersive experience of light and reflection. Installed throughout the property—from the lobby to the shoreline—his signature geometric works interact seamlessly with their surroundings, shifting with the natural rhythm of day and night.

By day, mirrored surfaces capture sky, sand, and sea, integrating the sculptures into the landscape. As evening falls, the works emit a soft, atmospheric glow, revealing their infinite interiors and creating a striking contrast against the Montauk horizon.

The solo exhibition of Anthony James at the Kellogg University Art Gallery on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, presented in collaboration with Melissa Morgan Fine Art, brought together several of James’ most significant series, each exploring themes of light, space, and the cosmic realm. His iconic Portals and geometric works create the illusion of infinite depth, inviting viewers into a contemplative, almost meditative experience.

Alongside these illuminated sculptures, Morphic Fields and his Shields expanded the dialogue.

At its core, the presentation emphasized James’ ability to merge precision engineering with philosophical inquiry, creating work that is both visually commanding and deeply introspective.

Within London’s Marble Arch Mound, Anthony James presented Lightfield, an immersive installation that exemplifies his distinctive exploration of light, reflection, and infinite space.

The Marble Arch Mound attracted approximately 250,000 visitors, offering a broad public audience the opportunity to encounter James’ work in an unexpected setting. Within this context, Lightfield emerged as a defining element—highlighting the artist’s capacity to elevate space and engage viewers through both visual impact and quiet introspection.

At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Anthony James presented an immersive garden installation that brought his signature exploration of light and infinity into direct conversation with the natural world.

Developed in collaboration with Saatchi Gallery, the installation featured a series of crystal-inspired sculptures. At the core of the installation was James’ fascination with crystalline structures—natural systems defined by order, growth, and stability.

Set within a shaded garden environment, the works invited visitors to move through the space slowly, creating a moment of calm and reflection within the energy of the fair.

At White Desert’s Echo Camp in Antarctica, Anthony James realized one of the most ambitious moments of his career—installing a monumental sculpture in one of the most remote and extreme environments on earth. James has described the landscape as “like being on a different planet,” where the scale and stillness of Antarctica heighten the conceptual core of his work.

Installed within Echo Camp’s hub—an architectural environment inspired by space exploration—the piece anchors a dialogue between art, science, and the cosmos.

James continues to expand the boundaries of contemporary sculpture with installations now spanning all seven continents.

At the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation on Saadiyat Island, Anthony James presents a series of monumental sculptures that embody his signature exploration of light, geometry, and infinite space.

Situated within one of Abu Dhabi’s leading cultural institutions, the installation places James’ work in dialogue with a broader international context—where contemporary practice meets a growing global art scene. The foundation itself is dedicated to showcasing works from across regions and disciplines, creating a platform for both established and emerging voices.

Presented within the foundation’s striking, minimalist architecture—set against water and defined by clean lines and light-filled spaces—the works resonate with a heightened sense of clarity and precision.

In this setting, James’ work continues to expand its global presence, offering audiences a powerful encounter with sculpture that is at once technologically advanced and deeply introspective.

In collaboration with W1 Curates, Anthony James transformed London’s Oxford Street into a large-scale public artwork, bringing his exploration of light, geometry, and infinity into the urban landscape.

Projected across the façade of a multi-story building, the installation translated James’ iconic illuminated sculptures into a digital format—spanning 36 high-resolution screens and enveloping the architecture in a continuous field of light. The result was an immersive, city-wide experience that reimagined how contemporary sculpture can exist beyond traditional gallery spaces.

Accessible to the public at street level, the installation offered a moment of visual immersion within one of London’s busiest commercial corridors.

At the amfAR Gala in Cannes, Anthony James donated a monumental 80-inch Icosahedron, also featured in Knives Out, to support global AIDS research. Constructed from stainless steel, glass, and LED light, the work reflects his exploration of infinity and cinematic presence.

At The St. Regis Aspen Resort, Anthony James’ Icosahedron is presented within a luxury alpine setting. Its mirrored surfaces reflect the surrounding landscape while its infinite interior creates depth, forming a dialogue between precise geometric form and the natural beauty of Aspen.

At Pendry Newport Beach, Anthony James’ Wall Portal introduces his concept of infinite space in an architectural format. Mounted as a sculptural intervention, the work draws viewers inward through light and reflection, creating a quiet, immersive moment within the refined coastal setting.

Installed at Pendry West Hollywood, Anthony James’ Icosahedron anchors the space with a bold, luminous presence. The sculpture’s geometric precision and illusion of infinite depth transform the environment, offering a focal point that bridges contemporary design and immersive experience.

At ION Orchard in Singapore, Anthony James presents one of his Repose car sculptures, expanding his exploration of reflection, form, and movement. The mirrored surface transforms the vehicle into a sculptural object, merging automotive design with his signature language of light and perception.

During London’s Mayfair Art Trail, Anthony James presented a crystal-inspired sculpture reflecting his interest in geometric form and natural systems. Installed within a historic setting, the work merges symmetry, light, and reflection, offering a contemporary interpretation of crystalline structure.

At Palm Springs Art Museum, Anthony James presents a monumental Rhombicosidodecahedron, highlighting the mathematical precision central to his practice. Through mirrored surfaces and light, the sculpture creates infinite depth, inviting viewers into a contemplative experience shaped by geometry and perception.

In Berkeley Square, London, Anthony James’ sculpture integrates into a historic urban landscape known for its architecture and cultural significance. The luminous geometric form engages passersby through light and reflection, creating a dynamic interaction with the surrounding city environment.
