A Landmark Exhibition on All Seven Continents

In the winter of 2023, Anthony James accomplished an unprecedented milestone by becoming the inaugural and solitary visual artist to showcase his work on all seven continents. This monumental achievement unfolded when he installed a 60-inch Rectified Truncated Cuboctahedron from his Portal Series, characterized by powder-coated stainless steel, specialized glass, and LED elements, at White Desert's luxury eco-camp in Antarctica, in close proximity to the South Pole. It serves as a testament to the global allure of his artistry, reaching even the farthest corners of our planet.

Significant Public Installations

Anthony James's artistic pursuits extend beyond traditional gallery confines. His avant-garde approach to art has led to prominent public installations that leave an enduring impact on spectators. For instance, in collaboration with Saatchi Gallery London, James exhibited three luminous sculptures at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2022, each mirroring the intricate formations found in natural crystals, as well as his exhibition "Square Roots" that featured James’ renowned Birch Series along with Lightfield, an array of twelve interconnected cubic structures linked to a central ethernet "brain," which transmitted algorithmic cues to the sculptures, replicating the intricate networking observed in birch forests.

Illuminating Marble Arch with Light Field Sculptures

One of his notable collaborations took place with the city of Westminster, where he introduced three monumental Light Field sculptures at Marble Arch in Hyde Park. This installation captivated a staggering 250,000 visitors within a brief three-month period, underscoring the captivating power of Anthony James's art.

In Anthony James's own words, his artistic practice strives to offer a visual manifestation of the infinite or the spiritual essence that dwells within each of us. His creations serve as gateways to explore the underlying laws of nature and the inner light that binds us to the cosmos—a profound invitation to contemplate the infinite through art.
