Melissa Morgan Fine Art [MMFA] came to fruition through Melissa Morgan’s love of art and her passion for community involvement. Morgan’s ethos as a gallerist is rooted in the intimacy of art and the belief that we can learn much about ourselves, and others, through interacting and sharing interpretations of what activates us as we explore art. 

Founded in 2002, Morgan brought Karna Valen in as the Gallery Manager and in 2006 she partnered with Buschlen Mowatt Gallery Director, Alec Longmuir. In the gallery's conception, the primary focus was to bridge a blue-chip contemporary program with important, mid-career artists with a strong focus on Southern California. The gallery currently represents national and international contemporary artists working in all forms of media.

Today, MMFA has accomplished exactly what Morgan and Longmuir set out to do. The gallery features installations with rising contemporary stars, juxtaposing their work with established blue-chip artists. Representing an eclectic assemblage of important, established, award winning artists whose work has been shown in museum collections and/or major private collections, all tied together by experience and notoriety.

Annually, the gallery presents four to five curated exhibitions at the Palm Desert gallery, as well as site-specific installations in varying locations and participates in numerous international art fairs.

MMFA opened the Sculpture Garden, also located on El Paseo Drive in Palm Desert, California in 2019 as an open-air showroom for collectors, as well as a public space for families and art lovers to enjoy from sunrise to sunset.

Recently, MMFA has developed an Art Services program, designed to elevate your art collecting experience, including art storage in our new, state-of-the-art facility. Our expert team ensures the highest level of safety, security, and preservation for your valuable artwork.
