L&L Holding Company, in collaboration with renowned artist Anthony James and SPACE2CURATE, have unveiled "Constellations," a sculpture installation at 425 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan. Visible from Park Avenue and 55th Street, the work occupies a 5,000-square-foot glass-enclosed gallery at the southeast corner of the 897-foot-tall commercial skyscraper from Foster + Partners.
The exhibition opened on December 1 and builds on L&L's commitment to integrating art into 425 Park Avenue. The tower's grand lobby features a monumental drawing by American artist Sol LeWitt, and the Diagrid Club showcases an immersive installation by Japanese sculptor Yayoi Kusama.
Anthony James, a London-born artist based in Los Angeles, has made a significant impact on the global art scene, with his works displayed in public spaces worldwide. His "Portals" series is the centerpiece of "Constellations," known for its advanced LED systems and exploration of natural geometries. The exhibition invites viewers to contemplate a universal language through art.
"425 Park is situated within a stretch of the Plaza District that has masterfully blended design, architecture, commerce, and culture," said L&L Holding chairman and CEO David W. Levinson. "As the first new full-block office tower to be built on the world's most famous commercial corridor in half a century, we were determined to create a holistic experience that would attract, motivate, and excite the most innovative companies and creative people from around the world. We are honored to add Anthony James' brilliant works to a roster that also includes such legendary artists as Kusama, LeWitt, and Poons."
