a note from David:
'Our new series documenting iconic European coastal towns has now moved on to the Amalfi Coast in Italy. I am always wary of starting a fresh body of work, as we have no preconception of the likely appetite for what we release.
But as always, the key is to be creatively bold and to try and offer fresh aesthetics. If I get it right, then we should be okay, but there is always an initial anxiety. That anxiety encourages a rigorous creative process. I think this photograph, taken this Tuesday evening, is an important moment in this series. I am proud of it and I fancy that it will emotionally engage with people of all nationalities, not just Italians.’
